2024 Stelvio?
The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes in five trim levels: Sprint, Ti, Veloce, Competizione, and Quadrifoglio. The base Sprint is available in both rear-wheel- and all-wheel-drive versions. The rest of the lineup is AWD only. The Veloce is the most popular trim and we believe it offers the best combination of features for most buyers.Â

The Stelvio's interior is a very nice place to spend time. The driving position is purposeful, and the gauges are very clear and visible. The infotainment screen is a bit on the small side, but the secondary controls in the center stack area of the dash are easy to understand and operate. The center console features a leather-wrapped gear shifter, rotary control knobs, large cupholders, center armrest with storage underneath, and an available wireless phone charging pad.Â

The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio's infotainment setup got a major makeover a couple of years ago. One noticeable aspect of the system is its rather small 8.8-inch touchscreen display. It includes an eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM radio capabilities. Standard functions include driver-configurable interactive widgets and horizontal page-turning. The system also offers vehicle performance pages and an expanded navigation view. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi hotspot, mobile app with remote operations, SOS call, roadside assistance, vehicle finder, and stolen vehicle locator. Over-the-air firmware updates are another connectivity benefit. For those seeking premium audio, a 14-speaker 900-watt Harman Kardon system is optional on the Ti and Veloce trims and included on the Competizione and Quadrifoglio models.Â

How Does the 2024 Stelvio Handle on the Road?
The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is powered by one of the strongest base engines in its class. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. It's teamed with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the base Sprint trim, but the other trims are all-wheel drive, including the Quadrifoglio.
The top-level Quadrifoglio is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that delivers an impressive 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic with manual shifting capability is the only transmission option. Alfa says the Stelvio with the base 2.0-liter engine will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Most buyers in the luxury crossover market will be more than happy with that. For those who want even more power, the Quadrifoglio will jet from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The top track speed is, according to Alfa, 176 mph.
